The Lie of Equality and the Feminist Fight for Freedom./Marcie Bianco, PhD, is a writer, editor, lecturer, and cultural critic. She will talk to students about her first book, Breaking Free: The Lie of Equality and the Feminist Fight for Freedom (2023), which examines and challenges the idea of “equality” in the feminist struggle. Her feminist and cultural criticism has been published widely, from mainstream outlets like Vanity Fair and CNN to independent, feminist and LGBTQ+ outlets like DAME and The Advocate. Bianco will discuss her work and life as a public intellectual with SLE theme house students.
