Master Boat Builders of Italy - The Siino Family - A Tribute to the Monterey Boat Works

Janet (Siino) Martinez and Mark Siino, grandchildren of Master Boat Builder Angelo Siino will be your guides through multimedia history of the Monterey Boat Works from 1916 to 1970. During this time, the Siino's father (Angelo) and sons (Raymond and Frank) built and repaired hundreds of wood fishing boats. Watch a video of the St. Bernadette and Miss Monterey being launched by Siino Master Boat Builders from the cradle mechanism at the Boat Works in the 1950s digitized from original 8mm film. Walk through a photo journey exhibit by Janet Martinez featuring the Siino master boat builders themselves,1930s historic photos of the Siino and Monterey Boat Works buildings and many boats built at the Monterey Boat Works throughout the decades 1930 - 1960s. Learn about the Siino-built 1930 General Pershing that was gifted back to the Siino family and why in 2019, they created the nonprofit, Monterey Boat Heritage, Inc.
