The Brain Resilience lab is hosting a discussion with George Emanuel, Scientific Co-founder and Senior Director of Technology & Partnership at Vizgen. We invite you to join us and learn more about the MERSCOPE platform for Spatial Transcriptomics as well as its applications in neuroscience research and beyond.
Light refreshments will be served - REGISTER TODAY!
Biological systems are composed of numerous cell types, intricately organized to form functional tissues and organs. However, the tissue organization is lost when cells are dissociated for single-cell sequencing, making it difficult to study how the cellular heterogeneity contributes to the tissue’s function. Spatially resolved transcriptomics methods like MERFISH can reveal how single-cell gene activity orchestrates the structure and function of complex tissues like the nervous system while maintaining spatial context.
In this presentation, we will introduce you to the Vizgen MERSCOPE® Platform, a cutting-edge in si tu spatial biology system. MERSCOPE combines MERFISH technology with optimized optics and automation to enable the direct profiling of the spatial organization of intact tissue down to subcellular resolution. You will learn how high-quality MERFISH data generated by MERSCOPE can be applied to a wide range of biological research areas including neuroscience and brain disease.
