Please join us for our upcoming Methods Workshop with Prof. Kevis Goodman!
Building on the success of the English department’s Methods Café series, this workshop offers an intimate, low-stakes setting primarily intended for graduate students. We’ll circulate readings from visiting critics beforehand; come pose questions or just revel in your colleagues’ conversation.
Our first guest will be Prof. Kevis Goodman (University of California, Berkeley). She is the author of Georgic Modernity and British Romanticism: Poetry and the Mediation of History (2004) and, more recently, Pathologies of Motion: Historical Thinking in Medicine, Aesthetics, and Poetics (2023). For copies of pre-circulated readings drawn from these two volumes, email Prof. Esther Yu (estheryu@stanford.edu).
