Event Details:
Presented by the Department of Art & Art History, Terrarium + The Field features recent work by Omaha-based artist Neil Griess, whose practice examines the layered histories of landscapes and how technology shapes our perception of natural and built environments. Through painting, drawing, and sculpture, Griess explores the intersection of memory and digital mapping to reimagine places of personal and historical significance. Griess earned his MFA in Art Practice from Stanford University in 2019 and currently serves as Assistant Professor of Painting/2D Arts at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
