Event Details:
Every day we face situations that provoke troubling questions: Do I belong? Can I do it? Can I trust you? Am I enough? Stanford staff are invited to join Stanford psychology professor Greg Walton for an interactive session exploring how small, everyday experiences—what he calls “ordinary magic”— can help us set these questions aside and flourish. Through stories, research, and hands-on activities, Professor Walton will guide us in recognizing unhelpful thought patterns, reclaiming a sense of agency, and supporting others in doing the same.
The first 35 Stanford staff members to RSVP and participate will receive a free copy of Greg Walton's latest book, Ordinary Magic: The Science of How We Can Achieve Big Change with Small Acts.
This event is being made possible through an Office of Community Engagement Staff Campus Engagement Mini-Grant.
