Drawing on the Our Common Purpose report from the American Academy of Arts and Sciences Democracy Commission, which she co-chaired, Prof. Allen will lay out a vision for how we can secure the responsive, inclusive democracy we deserve in the 21st century. She will focus both on key reform—such as increasing the size of Congress and changing electoral mechanisms at the state-level—and why we need them, and she will also address the action strategies necessary to achieve them.
