Event Details:
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR), caused by overuse or inappropriate use of antibiotic drugs, has emerged as one of the leading public health threats of this century.
While efforts to reduce AMR have been explored in high-income countries, limited research has been conducted in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), where the burden of AMR is the greatest.
Join us as Neha Agarwal, senior director of strategy at PATH, sheds light on an innovative outcomes-based financing (OBF) mechanism being developed in partnership with the governments of Tanzania and Senegal, the Bay Area Global Health Alliance, and Pfizer to reinforce antimicrobial stewardship efforts in LMICs.
