SESSION DESCRIPTION
This presentation will explore the historical and contemporary factors shaping the health of Indigenous children across North America. Participants will reflect on how colonial policies and ongoing systemic inequities continue to impact Indigenous child health, gain insight into current initiatives and advocacy efforts aimed at improving outcomes, and consider how they can contribute to equitable, culturally safe care and systemic change within their own professional roles.

- Reflect on the how historical and current contexts of Indigenous people in North America have influenced Indigenous child health.
- Describe the current landscape and ongoing advocacy for Indigenous child health in North America.
- Understand pediatricians' role in providing equitable care for Indigenous children and advocating for equity within healthcare systems.
