SESSION DESCRIPTION
This session will describe quality improvement and research projects within the primary care setting aimed at increasing WIC enrollment and improving communication between healthcare professionals and WIC providers.
EDUCATION GOALS
- Identify evidence-based health benefits of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
- Propose strategies for increasing WIC referrals from primary care.
- Suggest strategies for improving communication between healthcare professionals and WIC providers
