SESSION DESCRIPTION
In this session Dr. Winslow will describe his duties while on leave from Stanford in 2021 -22 directing COVID-19 testing for the US as well as serving as CMO for the Southwest Border Migrant Health Task Force and Senior CDC advisor for Operation ALLIES WELCOME resettlement of Afghan refugees.


EDUCATION GOALS

  • Describe the challenges facing the US regarding testing for COVID-19 during the height of the pandemic.
  • Identify the main agencies responsible for care of unaccompanied children at the Southwest Border and the challenges they faced.
  • Identify the major infectious disease threats faced by Afghan refugees after the fall of Kabul in 2021.
