Event Details:

Dear all,

I am pleased to invite you to my PhD defense titled “Bridging Quantum Computing and Geosciences: New Paradigms for Modeling and Inversion,” to be held next week.

Date: Friday, May 1
Time: 12:30 PM PDT
Location: Green Earth Sciences Room 014

Zoom Details: Meeting ID: 990 4336 6322 | Passcode: 667516

This work develops new computational frameworks at the intersection of geosciences and quantum computing for subsurface modeling and inversion. It spans both physics-informed machine learning and emerging quantum and hybrid quantum-classical methods, including quantum neural networks, quantum annealing, and variational quantum algorithms for seismic inversion and carbon storage monitoring.

I would greatly appreciate your presence and feedback.

Please find the flyer attached for additional details.

Best regards,
Divakar Vashisth
