Join RSC Interdisciplinary Fellow Scarlett Kim in a work-in-progress roleplaying game that gamifies the journey of an artist navigating the emotional, social, and systemic realities of creative life. Blending mechanics from table-top role-playing games, live-action role-playing, and immersive theatre, Company invites each player to determine the fate of their artist body-double.

During this playtest session, participants will be invited to try out in-progress game mechanics and contribute to the development process of this megagame. Game mechanics include building your artist avatar, navigating the social terrain of creative life, and trading a currency mined from emotion.

Scarlett Kim is a creative director and producer innovating the intersection of live performance and immersive technology. A polymath, Scarlett creates participatory experiences that reimagine liveness, drawing upon theatre, XR, game, and ritual.

For disability-related accommodations or inquiries about accessibility, please contact Edi Dai at edidai@stanford.edu at least one week in advance.

This event is hosted by the Silicon Valley Archives, Stanford University Libraries. Scarlett Kim is hosted by the Office of the Vice President for the Arts and Stanford Live as part of the RSC Interdisciplinary Fellowship program.
