DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday\, July 18th for free Printmaking and Photogra
 phy Workshops in the Department of Art & Art History!\n\nOrganized by A&AH
  staff and with support of a Stanford Campus Engagement Mini-Grant\, this 
 is a unique and creative opportunity for staff from across campus to socia
 lize and explore the otherwise inaccessible printmaking studio and photogr
 aphy darkrooms. Participants will be allowed to choose one of the two work
 shops\, where they will make several prints to take home\, and be treated 
 to lunch! No prior art making experience necessary\, and all materials wil
 l be provided.\n\nMore about the workshops: \n\nPrintmaking (9:30am-12pm\,
  room 102) - Participants will work with an etching press in a collage bas
 ed printmaking process called Collagraph. Materials such as plants\, fabri
 c\, string\, and paper will be used to create a highly textured plate that
  will be inked and pressed. The resulting prints will reflect the textures
  and forms of the materials used in their creation. At the end of both wor
 kshops\, everyone will have created multiple prints that they can keep.\n\
 nPhotography (1pm-3:30pm\, room 009) - Participants will enter the photogr
 aphy darkroom where they will learn how to make Photograms\, one of the ol
 dest photographic processes. Once participants learn the technique\, they 
 will use the darkroom enlargers to create their own images from materials 
 provided\, including photographic paper and chemistry. Participants will a
 lso be able to bring objects from home to incorporate into their compositi
 ons. At the end of both workshops\, everyone will have created multiple pr
 ints that they can keep.\n\nPlease use this Sign-up Sheet to request entry
  into one of the workshops by July 11th\, the spaces will be filled in the
  order registration requests are received. Once all the spaces are filled 
 a waiting list will be created. Lunch will be provided between 12pm and 1p
