Divya Karnad is an award-winning wildlife biologist and human geographer who specializes in research on marine and coastal areas. Her interdisciplinary work integrates human and ecological dimensions of marine science, from an applied perspective. She is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental Studies, Ashoka University, has co-founded India's first sustainable seafood initiative called InSeason Fish and is working on extending the theory of commons to the study of sustainable seafood.
