How will the Universe end? Will it die in a peaceful way or through a series of violent events? Join our lecture and learn what modern astrophysics tells us about the ultimate fate of the cosmos.
 

This lecture is open to all and recommended for the general public and students above 9th grade. The event will be offered in a hybrid format.

Title: How the Universe Ends

Speaker: Prof. Katherine Mack (Perimeter Institute)

Abstract: The Big Bang theory tells the story of the beginning of the Universe, our cosmic home for the last 13.8 billion years. But how does the story end? In this lecture, Prof. Mack will share what modern astrophysics tells us about the ultimate fate of the cosmos, and what the catastrophic destruction of all reality would look like to anyone still around to see it.
