Event Details:
How do questions relate to creativity and purpose? Do artists, scientists, and humanists hold similar or divergent views? Funded by the MacArthur Foundation’s X-grants program, this video explores “questions as tools in art, science, and the humanities” based on interviews with Stanford-based MacArthur Fellows and MacArthur Fellows who have also been past residents or fellows at the American Academy in Rome. Directed by Hideo Mabuchi and Peter N. Miller. Public film screenings will be held at Stanford, NYC, and Rome, each followed by a Q&A with invited speakers from the film.
Stanford screening: 13 minute video, Q&A, followed by a reception
