Real World Evidence (RWE) is an important source of information related to patient health status and the delivery of healthcare collected from a variety of sources. Examples include data from electronic health records, medical claims data, and data from other sources such as registries and remote devices. RWE can inform a number of areas including clinical trials, quality improvement and the overall delivery of health care.
