Recovering battery minerals is a big deal — with big savings

Sponsored by

This event is over.

Event Details:

Stanford Professor William Tarpeh an expert at reimagining waste streams, will present insights from research into the magnitude of savings that can be achieved by recovering minerals from batteries, putting downward pressure on demand for mining in a clean energy transition.

The Tarpeh Lab focuses on resource recovery from "waste" streams at several synergistic scales: molecular mechanisms; unit processes that increase resource efficiency; and systems-level assessments that identify optimization opportunities.

  • When:   Tuesday, April 1 from 6:00-7:20pm
  • What:     Explore Energy Seminar:  Propel  (ENERGY / CEE 108X / 208X)
