Redivis Workshop: A Data and Computational Environment for Reproducible Data Science

Sponsored by

This event is over.

Event Details:

Data Farm is Stanford University's research data exploration, extraction, and analysis tool for datasets. Stanford contracts with Redivis for use of their SaaS platform for storing, distributing, and analyzing research data. Redivis offers a modern, high-performance web-based interface that enables researchers to work with a wide variety of datasets.

What can Data Farm do?

Data Farm allows highly efficient and fast queries (using either the visual query editor or writing SQL) directly in the browser. After performing a query, such as: filter-aggregate-combine, you can explore descriptive statistics and visualizations right away or move into integrated notebooks for further data manipulation.

Datasets on Data Farm are interoperable with common data analysis tools such as: Python, R, SAS, and Stata and can be easily exported to on-premise computing environments such as Farmshare / Sherlock, into cloud compute services like GCP, AWS, Azure, or downloaded for local analysis (usage rights permitting).

Register here to attend. Spots are open to current Stanford Affiliates only and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space is limited, and a waitlist will be available once all spots are filled. (Please note: You must be logged in to Google Drive with your Stanford email, such as YourSUNetid@stanford.edu, to access the registration form.)
