Event Details:

The Explore Energy House, Stanford in Government, the Asian American Activities Center, and Otero, the Public Service & Civic Engagement House, are proud to present a conversation with Rep. Ted Lieu (CA-36). Rep. Lieu was recently elected as the Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, distinguishing him as the highest-ever-ranking Asian American in House Democratic leadership. While in Congress, he has championed renewable energy as a key tool for addressing the climate crisis. In 2021, Rep. Lieu introduced the Climate Solutions Act, which would require the Department of Energy to hold the United States accountable to the energy targets it already pledged in international climate agreements. During his remarks, Rep. Lieu will offer a state of play on energy transition policy and highlight Congress's role in developing sustainable solutions. All are welcome to attend.
