ReproducibiliTea Stanford has partnered with Scientists Speak Up and the Stanford Program on Research Rigor and Reproducibility (SPORR) and invited the Professor Michael Eisen, editor-in-chief of the journal eLife—to give a talk on April 12th. eLife - is a prominent biomedical and life sciences journal that made drastic changes to their publishing policies earlier this year. They have eliminated accept/reject decision after peer review and now present themselves as a peer review service rather than a publisher. 

Michael Eisen is a professor of genetics, genomics, and development in the molecular and cell biology department and a professor of integrative biology at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a leading advocate of open access scientific publishing and is co-founder of Public Library of Science (PLOS). 

This seminar will be followed by a moderated Q&A.
