What role can the humanities play in shaping public memory, and what does it mean to do this work in partnership with communities? This panel brings together faculty and graduate students whose community-engaged projects use humanities methods—such as mapping, oral history, archival research, and performance analysis—to surface histories that are often overlooked or erased.

Panelists

  • Mónica Szurmuk, Senior Researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina, Professor of Latin American Literature at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín
  • Darion A. Wallace, Ph.D. Student in Education, Stanford
