The Stanford VMware Women's Leadership Innovation Lab invites you to join us in exploring strategies to achieve gender equity and racio-ethnic equity, together, in a webinar on October 5, 2023 from 9am – 10am PT.  Tina Opie (Associate Professor of Management, Babson College) & Beth Livingston (Ralph L. Sheets Associate Professor of Industrial Relations at the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business) will share insights, stories and strategies from their book, “Shared Sisterhood: How to Take Collective Action for Racial and Gender Equity at Work.” They will engage in a fireside chat with VMware Women’s Leadership Innovation Lab co-founder Lori Nishiura Mackenzie. The book presents a framework for collective action, where people from historically power-dominant and marginalized groups work together, so that all women experience the benefits of professional growth and equity. The conversation will explore how individuals and groups can build relationships across racial divisions through radical optimism, self-reflection, and by cultivating empathy. By joining in Shared Sisterhood, we can advance equity for all.

The webinar will last approximately 60 minutes. We will reserve time for audience Q&A towards the end of the session. Live real-time captioning will be available.
