Cuban pianist and composer Aldo López-Gavilán is an exceedingly rare talent with success in both the classical and jazz worlds. Aldo has an unbridled approach to composition and improvisation, and a seemingly limitless technique at his command. With his band in this intimate setting, Aldo will showcase his awe-inspiring and achingly beautiful compositions which defy categorization, but which express the totality of his multi-cultural experience and musical vision.

This event is part of the 2024 Stanford Jazz Festival.
