Experience bassist and composer Noah Garabedian as he steps into the spotlight for the first time as a lyricist, bringing his own band and compositions to life. Blending heartfelt songwriting with Americana folk influences, Garabedian leads an electrifying ensemble through a dynamic fusion of storytelling and improvisation. Joining Garabedian for this electrifying evening is celebrated Bay Area vocalist, Valerie Troutt.
As a bandleader and composer, he has released two albums under his own name, as well as a collaborative album with the trio Ember. His latest quartet album, Consider The Stars Beneath Us (Outside In Music, 2022), showcases his deeply expressive and forward-thinking approach. In addition to his jazz projects, he serves as musical director for “Rhythm Is Life,” a dance production featuring acclaimed tap dancer Dormeshia.
A sought-after sideman, Garabedian has toured and recorded with Ravi Coltrane, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Kris Davis, and Ralph Alessi, and has twice represented the U.S. State Department as a musical ambassador.
