Join us for an unforgettable evening as the SJW Mentor Fellows take the stage, bringing their artistry, creativity, and passion for jazz to the community. This special performance showcases some of the most exciting emerging voices in jazz, each blending tradition with fresh perspectives.

The evening will feature original compositions and arrangements from a remarkable lineup of rising stars. UK-born trumpeter Alexandra Ridout, winner of the BBC Young Musician Jazz Award and a standout performer on the global jazz scene, will bring her exquisite sound and compelling improvisation. Trombonist Allie Biancoviso, an educator and researcher dedicated to fostering inclusivity in jazz, will showcase her deep musicality and expressive playing. Rafael Enciso, a dynamic bassist and composer whose work has been praised by jazz luminaries like Jason Moran, will offer his unique take on improvised music.

Also taking the stage is Jordan Anderson, a Detroit-based pianist whose influences range from the funky sounds of Minneapolis to the deep jazz traditions of his mentors. Alto saxophonist Patrick Hill, whose career has taken him from the University of North Texas to performances with Michael Bublé and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, will bring his soulful, swinging sound. Greek-born drummer Gary Kerkezou, a fixture in New York’s top jazz clubs, will provide masterful rhythmic energy, shaped by years of experience with some of the world’s best musicians. Rounding out the ensemble is David Lechuga, a versatile guitarist from San Jose, whose work spans jazz, Afro-Latin music, funk, and avant-garde improvisation.
