A sought-after collaborator, she has worked with Houston Person, Etta Jones, Kim Nalley, and Linda Tillery, earning praise for her deeply soulful and uncluttered style. As Houston Person describes, Hall is “one mighty soulful lady.”

Born and raised in Dallas, she began playing in church at a young age, later studying classical piano while absorbing the jazz influences of Ahmad Jamal, Hank Jones, and Oscar Peterson.
