Event Details:
The Stanford Cancer Institute Breakthroughs in Cancer seminar series provides a platform for eminent leaders in oncology to share their insights with the Stanford community. Seminars highlight innovations across basic, translational, clinical, and population cancer science.
Join us Tuesday, April 14, 4-5 p.m., at Munzer Auditorium, Beckman Center, or Zoom for a presentation by Charles Rudin, MD, PhD, deputy director of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Rudin is a leading physician-scientist in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), serving as the chair of the NCI Small Cell Lung Cancer Consortium. His research explores tumor-intrinsic and microenvironmental vulnerabilities, focusing on the development and testing of novel therapeutic lung cancer approaches in preclinical models, including patient-derived xenografts. His work has contributed to understanding treatment resistance mechanisms and in establishing SCLC’s distinct molecular subtypes to inform targeted treatment strategies.
The event is open to Stanford faculty, trainees, students, and staff.
