Event Details:
The Stanford Cancer Institute Breakthroughs in Cancer seminar series is one of the highest-profile seminar series for translational and clinical scientists in oncology. The series brings national leaders in cancer research to Stanford’s campus and highlights innovations across the spectrum of basic, translational, clinical, and population science.
Join us Tuesday, October 14, 4-5 p.m., at Munzer Auditorium, Beckman Center or Zoom for a presentation by Eileen White, PhD, deputy director and chief scientific officer of Rutgers Cancer Institute.
Dr. White is a leading cancer biologist whose discoveries about how tumor cells avoid cell death and hijack survival pathways have opened new avenues for cancer treatment. Her presentation will examine how cancer changes tissue function across the body, offering insights into disease progression and new treatments.
The event is open to Stanford Cancer Institute members, postdocs, fellows, and students, as well as Stanford University and Stanford Medicine faculty, trainees, and staff interested in basic, translational, clinical, and population-based cancer research.
