Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  • Identify the clinical presentation and differential diagnosis of common knee conditions (ACL rupture, meniscus tear, patella dislocation, osteoarthritis, tendonitis)
  • Recognize key differentiating aspects of the history, physical examination, and initial radiographic evaluation
  • Review first line management of common knee conditions
  • Discuss when to order advanced imaging studies and the indications for specialized care.
