Event Details:
Migration is transforming cities big and small around the globe, presenting both challenges and opportunities for democratic engagement. How can cities ensure that newcomers and long-established residents flourish together? What can we learn from the places that get this right? This event explores the pivotal role migrants play in the development of cities and how cities can respond to shape these shared experiences.
Join Ian Goldin, University of Oxford economist and 2025–26 CASBS fellow, and Rachel Perić, Executive Director of Welcoming America, for an engaging conversation moderated by Tomás Jiménez, Stanford sociologist and Faculty Director of Stanford’s Institute for Advancing Just Societies.
