 s Center and founder of Relay Robotics (formerly Savioke)\, which builds a
 utonomous service robots for hotels and healthcare. \n\nCousins’ career 
 reflects a commitment to advancing robotics from research to real-world ap
 plications. He previously served as CEO and president of Willow Garage\, w
 here he helped launch the open-source robotics movement through the creati
 on of ROS (Robot Operating System)\, and he is a founding board member of 
 the Open Source Robotics Foundation. He received the IEEE/IFR Award for In
 vention and Entrepreneurship in Robotics and Automation award in 2017.\n\n
 Cousins earned his PhD in computer science at Stanford and his BS and MS i
 n computer science from Washington University.\n\nThis appearance by Steve
