Sponsored by

This event is over.

Event Details:

Join game designer Chris Bennett to learn about how board games can help to drive interest in, and education about, the women's suffrage movement in the US and the UK. You will learn about several early board games from the 1900s and then delve deeper into more recent designs on the women's suffrage movement including Votes For Women and The Vote. You will get a chance to play at least one of the games at this event!

Chris Bennett is a longtime game designer who has worked on successful franchises including The Sims and Diner Dash. He is an affiliate at Stanford GSE where he teaches students about Game Design Thinking. Chris is also an edtech advisor helping global companies to increase student engagement.

Tabletop Tuesdays is a new event series held on the third Tuesday of each month. At these events, we'll feature a selection of board games and collection items from across SUL's holdings around a specific theme. Drop in to learn about the month's featured game(s) and/or try some of the board games we have for open play at the Silicon Valley Archives.
