Join us for this showcase of three games by Milda Matilda Games, and an exploration of the world of extremely independent games!

Matilda Simonsson of Milda Matilda Games is an independent game creator based in Sweden. She describes herself as a "[v]ery small scale publisher seeking to create a bridge between ancient and modern boardgame design."  Her games have been drawing praise and attention, with reviews by influential vloggers such as Shut Up & Sit Down and impressive ratings on BoardGameGeek.

She has released three handmade games, all of which will be featured at this session: 

• Hnefatavl: "An old asymmetric game with many names that peaked during the Viking age before falling before the titan that is Chess. "
• Pax Penning: "A strategic board game for 3-5 players which take place in an early phase of Sweden nation building.”
• Turncoats: “A competitive game for 2-5 players, where three factions are at war.” 

Tabletop Tuesdays is an event series held on the third Tuesday of each month. At these events, we feature a selection of board games and collection items from across SUL's holdings around a specific theme. Drop in to learn about the month's featured game(s) and/or try some of the board games we have for open play at the Silicon Valley Archives.
