Event Details:
Talk of the Farm is a ‘learn by doing’ club for speaking and leadership development. You learn to speak by practicing speaking either by presenting a prepared speech, taking on a specific meeting role or by participating in ‘Impromptu Speaking’ a segment that requires answering a question and speaking off the cuff. You learn leadership by running a club meeting as MC, or by helping to plan and direct club activities as a club officer.
Club meetings follow an agenda with set times for every segment. Participants can sign up in advance to speak, or to take a functionary role such as MC, Grammar Coach, or Meeting Reviewer.
Club meetings are the first and third Tuesday of the month. Officer meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month.

Talk of the farm is free and open to all Stanford faculty, staff, post-docs, and students.
