On the eve of the Declaration of Independence’s 250th anniversary, the Stanford Constitutional Law Center convenes eight prominent scholars, historians, and jurists from across the ideological spectrum to explore a simple but challenging question: What new can be said about the Declaration of Independence today? Through a series of lectures and conversations, participants will revisit the document’s history, meaning, and continuing significance for American constitutional thought.
