The Poiesis Quartet at the Anderson Collection

Sponsored by

This event is over.

Event Details:

Presented by the St. Lawrence Emerging String Quartet Program, the Poiesis Quartet performs works by underrepresented voices—immigrant, Indigenous, queer, and artists of color. Fresh from winning First Prize at the Banff International String Quartet Competition—the “Olympics” of quartet playing—they bring their dynamic artistry to the galleries of the Anderson Collection. Audiences are invited to experience the fusion of music and visual art as sound fills the museum, offering new ways to engage modern and contemporary American art in concert with live performance.
