Event Details:
Join us to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment!
Opening with comments from Stanford President Jonathan Levin, the afternoon will feature panel discussions with students, scientists, artists, NGO practitioners and business leaders discussing topics ranging from the Institute’s evolution and impact to the forefront of science needed to address crucial knowledge gaps for sustainable solutions. Panelists will focus on how Woods-supported research has pivoted from making important contributions to climate science and the influence of anthropogenic drivers twenty years ago, to now producing leading research on climate attribution science; adaptation pathways for food, energy and water systems; win-wins for mitigation and adaptation through nature based solutions; building just and resilient communities, and linkages between climate impacts to human health and well-being. Pre-registration is required to attend.
