Event Details:

D. A. Powell, poet, will read from his works. He is the author of 4 books of poetry. His subjects range from movies and art to the AIDS pandemic. Powell has been called "the best poet of his generation - and arguably the most important poet under 50" (Time Out New York). Powell has received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Lyric Poetry Award from the Poetry Society of America and a Northern California Book Award. He currently teaches at the University of San Francisco.
