Event Details:

So you're getting your law degree. But you love technology and the Internet. That's not surprising -- you're at Stanford, after all. You're looking forward to being a lawyer, but you can't help thinking that it might be awesome to work on utting-edge technology policy issues. In fact, if you're honest with yourself, you'd much rather think, read and talk about online free speech, network neutrality, copyright and fair use, privacy, cybersecurity, and start-up economics than civil discovery rules, taxable income definitions, and securities reporting requirements. You find yourself wondering: How can I get an awesome job in tech policy?

We've asked Andrew McLaughlin to give an informal seminar on tech policy job hunting. Andrew will give some practical advice about what kinds of tech policy jobs are out there in Washington, Silicon Valley, and beyond, and how to get them.
