The Design for Behavior Change Workshop is a full-day immersion program covering insights from Stanford ChangeLabs' work for the Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Project Agency – Energy (ARPA-e).

ChangeLabs is a globally networked platform focused on initiating rapid, large-scale systemic transformations. The initiative has developed a transformative technology system that leverages pervasive sensor and communication technologies to achieve large-scale behavior change and energy savings.

The "Design for Behavior Change Workshop" is meant for stakeholders interested in the demand side of energy consumption. The workshop is designed for technology developers, practitioners at energy utilities, venture capitalists, energy analysts, and design practitioners.

Topics will include:

  • Theories from Behavioral Sciences
  • Design tools incorporating Behavioral Economics principles
  • Hands-on exercises to design behavior change platforms
  • Cross-industry discussions

Hosted in partnership with People Power, an award winning company bringing technology solutions to create behavior change, and ARPA-e; the workshop will be led by Banny Bannerjee, a leading expert in design and innovation with over 20 years of industry and academic experience.

As Director of Stanford ChangeLabs, Banny has been highly influential in creating educational experiences that incorporate design thinking into catalyzing systemic change.

A group of senior leaders, researchers, and professionals will also be joining.
