The National Center for New Plays at Stanford and Planet Earth Arts is pleased to be bringing to Stanford an internationally acclaimed dance company from Madrid, Spain via Lincoln Center in New York for the West Coast Premiere of an amazing dance theater work in celebration of Earth Day weekend. The Sacrifice of Giants has stunned and moved audiences throughout Europe. It celebrates our fellow mammals - whales, dolphins and porpoises - while crying out against their captivity and slaughter. Acclaimed dancer-choreographer Camille Hanson and her collaborator, filmmaker-photographer JC Arévalo have blended contemporary dance, video and photography in a beautiful, haunting performance on behalf of our life giving oceans and their inhabitants.
