Event Details:

Confused about what to eat and what to feed your family? When not even the experts can agree, it’s easy to understand how you can feel at a loss when trying to decide what to put on the dinner table. This session will offer an overview of a plant-based diet, how it can promote health benefits to you beyond your plate, and most importantly, how you can bring a plant-based meal to your dinner table. We will review the nuts and bolts of menu planning, offer recipe ideas, and even learn how to make some simple, yet delicious plant-based meals to nourish the whole family.

Instructor: Reshma Shah, MD, MPH is a board-certified pediatric physician practicing in the Bay Area. She has advanced training in plant-based nutrition and cooking. In addition to clinical practice and teaching residents and medical students, she has a strong interest in family health and wellness, with a focus on plant-based nutrition. She speaks about plant-based nutrition, promotes it in her clinical practice, and prepares plant strong meals for her family. She will share information and strategies to feed your family for health and with joy.
