Guest conductor John Mauceri, "a doyen of musical theatre," (Gramophone) leads the Stanford Symphony Orchestra in composer Danny Elfman's new concerto for violin and orchestra, Eleven Eleven. The work, which premiered in June at the Prague Proms, was jointly commissioned by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Stanford Live, and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. SSO Music Director Paul Phillips conducts works by Leonard Bernstein and William Walton to round out the program.
