Bob Berkman (Pianola Enterprises) has been associated with player pianos most of his life. In 1975, he was hired by QRS in Buffalo, the world's last piano roll manufacturer, where he produced innumerable reissues of historic roll recordings and maintained a constant flow of new recordings for over thirty years.

Jonathan Golove (cello theremin) is Associate Professor in the University at Buffalo's Department of Music (SUNY Buffalo). Mr. Golove's career is marked by its versatility, sense of adventure, and commitment to performance.

The sixth Reactions to the Record symposium takes place April 6-8 and will focus on The Player Piano Project. The symposium will include presentations, panels, concerts, and demonstrations highlighting the latest work being conducted on historical performance documents, especially player pianos and piano rolls.
