Please consider joining us for our public stargazing event for the month of August this coming Saturday, August 11, at Lake Lagunita on the Stanford University campus. We'll be in the dry lake bed, downhill from the bonfire pit. The event will take place between 8:45 PM - 11:15 PM; feel free to stay for as little or as long as you'd like. We hope to have great views of Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn for the entire duration of the event, and will be able to catch Venus early on. Additionally, we'll be able to observe a multitude of deep-sky objects including nebulae, globular clusters, double stars, galaxies, and more. If we're lucky, we'll be able to spot a few meteors, as we'll be in the midst of the 2018 Perseides Meteor Shower!

As with all of our events, this is open to all regardless of previous astronomy experience! We hope to see you there!
