"Conscious Cooking" - Dal Dhokli - Homemade Pasta in Lentil soup
"You are what you eat”. Let us pause and think about the source and the consciousness in which our food is made - much is involved. Come and get involved in this great art of conscious cooking.
Stanford Bhakti Yoga Club invites you to our famous "Conscious Cooking" class - a hands-on cooking experience. In this session, we will make Dal Dhokli ( Wheat flour pasta in Lentil Soup). We will also be making the pasta from scratch. Dal Dhokli is a western-region dish from India made by boiling thick wheat flour pasta in a pigeon pea stew. It is considered a comfort food.
We will share some simple, healthy and delicious plant-based recipes, as well as information about ayurveda & conscious living. No previous experience in cooking is necessary. An enthusiasm to learn and hungry appetite to create some delicious food is all that is needed!
