European Entrepreneurship & Innovation @ Stanford Engineering (ME421)

In Session #2 of Stanford's 'European Entrepreneurship & Innovation 2019' speaker series we present Germany's leading consumer fintech startup, along with an update on the status and impact of the European Union's GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) privacy rules issued last May 2018. Based in Berlin, N26 is a premier example of Germany's emerging consumer tech sector centered around Berlin's high-growth tech ecosystem. Following a period of rapid expansion in the European consumer banking market, the company is now entering the US mobile banking market from its New York City US headquarters. Fieldfisher is a global law firm with a leading practice in GDPR compliance in Silicon Valley and Europe; our speaker and her colleagues advise numerous Silicon Valley and European companies in international privacy law and regulations.

  • Nicolas Kopp - CEO USA, N26 (New York | Berlin)
  • Mirena Taskova - Senior Associate & Privacy Expert, Fieldfisher (Silicon Valley)
  • Burton Lee - Lecturer, Stanford Engineering (Silicon Valley)
