GODOT HAS COME, ACT I
WRITTEN BY BETSUYAKU MINORU
DIRECTED AND TRANSLATED BY EMILY BUTTNER
Missed connections and miscommunications ensue as bureaucracy, busy-ness and boredom consume the lives of Vladimir, Estragon, and their ilk. Saturated with tasks and information, will our characters even notice Godot’s long-awaited arrival? Come aboard for an irreverent exploration of how the hectic pace and information overload of contemporary life impacts the quality of our relationships.
WRITTEN BY NICK PAYNE
DIRECTED BY SUHAILA MEERA
“Let's say ours really is only the universe that exists. There's only one unique me and one unique you. If that were true, then there could only ever really be one choice. But if every possible future exists, then the decisions we do and don't make will determine which of these futures we actually end up experiencing. Imagine rolling a dice six thousand times.” Featuring Alexa Luckey and Zakaria Sharif.
Originally produced on Broadway by the Manhattan Theatre Club, Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director, Barry Grove, Executive Producer, and The Royal Court Theatre by special arrangement with Ambassador Theatre Group and Dodgers on December 16, 2014.
